I sent a question to Paypal Customer Service (Contact Us), about a payment made with my credit card that needs to be cancelled, as I made a mistake and had to repay from bank account as per sellers listing.
WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE??? This was the answer I got after waiting for several days.
---------------------------------------------
Due to an increase in e-mail volumes, we may not have been able to answer
your e-mail.
If your inquiry has not been resolved or you have further questions
regarding your Paypal account please call 1-402-938-3570.
Thank you for choosing Paypal!
---------------------------------------------
You have no idea of the telephone service I have in this remote northern area, or what it will cost me to phone you.
I would suggest that as e-mails are part of your business, you should ensure that customer questions be answered in a timely fashion.
Respectfully
gcjenkins

I'm new at ebay and paypal. I recently opened up accounts at both. I tried selling a couple of movies. One movie sold. I was happy and went to withdraw the money for shipping.
Paypal limited my account, needing photos of my drivers licence and other items. This is fine and I'm okay with this. I also need to add a bank account....WHY? but okay, I'm fine with this.
Then they require proof that I have this "in stock"?? Huh? It's one movie. Also they want a tracking number before releasing my funds to prove it was shipped. For a tracking number, I'll be paying $12.00, I only charged $6.00 for S/H so I'm out of pocket this money.
I refunded the payment and explained to my customer that I will still ship the movie to him as it's a problem on my end. Hopefully he will pay me back once he receives the movie, however if not, then I'm out of pocket.
Amanda, why does payment demand a tracking number on letterpost mail in Canada? We cannot add one unless we choose to send it express post which is extremely more expensive. Customers do not want to pay $12.00 shipping fee (not including handling charges) and we'll lose business.
I'm considering not using paypal at all. Unfortunately, I'll still lose clients, but aren't sellers here to make money?
John

For cheap items never use paypal. Use personal cheque. It is working (money is cleared right way if cheque from the same bank which you have)

If it is truly free for buyers, the does that justify the extortionate exchange rates they use? PayPal has profited more than $200approx. from me for all the transactions. That only on a total sum of $1800approx. Is that excusable? Has anyone noticed?
PayPal- If you are reading this rest assured I will let EVERYONE know this. (You should have corrected it right away and treated a paying customer with RESPECT, not like cattle). I am disappointed and quite frankly disgusted. I am certain that when I expose you to the news media of CBC and CNN you will change your SACRED POLICY that you keep telling me about, you just watch how you'll lose your ever trusting deceived users. Give me a reply sometime to prove you read these and maybe try to satisfy me as a customer.

I'm a seller, I'm currently getting scam of 850$ and just because he has (not me) an unverified adresse you can't do nothing about it (by the way the item was ship by INTERNET, no real adress required, this is something should think about a bit I think).
Also, exchange rate are horrible : 706 US $ -> 825
Instead of 706 US $ -> 805
I would be happy of this mistake if this was not a dept (oh and when it is my money the opposite thing happens), it could someone fee but up to now I've never saw anywhere mentionning it.
Thank you

I would like the ability to, at a later time, print the SAME Payment receipt that is offered at the completion of the eBay checkout. Maybe as a link on the details page? Something similar to the link Sellers have to print a Packing Slip.
I would also appreciate it if the Receipt FIT on a standard sheet of paper without having to use the Landscape mode on my Printer Set-up.
Thanks :-)

I opened a bank account for this, submitted that information and resumed shopping. They automatically by default charge your bank account!!!!!!!
I have 15 NSF's on my account!!!!!!!!
It doesn't even tell you there are no funds right away.. It just says payment complete!!! If it gave you a heads up, you can correct the problem.. I only use my Credit Card to buy things.. By the time I was aware... It kept automatically doing that to the rest of the items I bought!!!!!!!!
I have $580.00 is NSF fees all because that is their policy...
I am trying to get reimbursed for this. Lets see how PayPal resolves issues like this which their "system"
created.
MAKE SURE YOU SPECIFY CREDIT CARD AFTER YOU SUBIT BANK INFO. Pathetic really.....

I encountered the rudest person I have ever spopken to. His name is Clarence. While I was trying to explain to him my concern, he cut me off several times and told me I should have read their policy and that this is how it is. NEVER A SOLUTION JUST A POLICY.
He repeated the same thing to me more than 8 times and when I asked to stop and listen for a second.. He said have a nice day and hung up!!!!!!!!!!!!
PayPal, may you lose all your business because you are garbage, when a customer is speaking YOU LISTEN. THAT IS HOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM ASKING. You have no customer service, its just a generic line you tell all your customers, THIS IS OUR POLICY. I hope you choke on it.
Don't make the same mistake as me, PROTECT YOUR DIGNITY, ALWAYS GET THE NAME AND AGENT NUMBER WHEN YOU SPEAK TO PAYPAL. I hope that person never works in customer service again.. I will try to give PayPal as much information about the conversation, I have his name and the time. I hope the call was really recorded.
That was no way to speak to anyone. VERY DISRESPECTFUL
SHAME ON YOU

That's the whole reason why PayPal asks for your bank information.
It is not for "verification" reasons. That's baloney.
It is to make you slip up and pay with your bank account so that PayPal pays no credit card fees and has no chargeback risks.
It works! Lots of people are fooled this way.

What are they doing to correct their "system" that can't stop the transaction and all your "completed payments" keep trying to pull the funds from your bank account??????
Really sad setup...

I have 2 addresses listed with Paypal and both of these are on my credit card. I have sent 2 emails to Paypal regarding this issue and then I phoned. The only answer that you have given me is that it's a glitch. You tell me that I am confirmed but you can't fix the emails that you send out and I should just tell the seller to phone you.
This is a big problem to me, a company that has my account and credit card information but can't fix this problem. How well is my information protected? I hope that it isn't protected by the same people who fix your glitches.
Dave
