I don't sell much over the old "limit" and I don't bother with signatures anyway but for those that do....
Section 11 of the User Agreement currently requires that sellers obtain signature confirmation for transactions of $325 CAD in order for a transaction to be eligible for Seller protection for an Item Not Received Claim. That Section also currently includes a table for the corresponding foreign equivalency amount. This section will be changed to increase the dollar amount required for signature confirmation from $325 CAD to $850 CAD, and the foreign equivalency amounts are also being increased.
Effective May 15th.

Wait, did I real this right? This would be amazing if I did. So now I don't have to use signature confirmation unless its over 825$?

You have to wait until May 15, 2014 before the changes go into effect. Anything sold before then is governed by the current limits.

Wow - this is really great news for me. It means I can compete with US sellers on shipping higher priced items - because a lot of mine are boarder line.

This is a really great change, now we can compete with U.S. sellers more!

Signature Confirmation has its place, even at values lower than $325.
Relatively rare valuable book was lost when it was deposited in a community mailbox in Calgary....Buyer was livid.
Signature confirmation would have meant that the buyer would have picked up the parcel in person... with signature confirmation..
I have used signature confirmation in situations where I am mailing a relatively rare book.. safety in delivery to the buyer
There is more to signature confirmation than a value of $325 or $850 in the future
I have learned my lesson.
We can now, after May 15, ship internationally with tracking and fully insured up to $850 at less cost ... without the need for signature confirmation ...

I searched and searched on the PayPal site about this change... but all the documents I found are still quoting $325 CAD as before May 15. Does someone know where I can find the link confirming that change is in effect?
