Hi everyone: I just created my eBay account yesterday and am trying to put together my first listing. I'm using Turbo lister and I notice that the only payment option I have for Paypal is " Credit Card Via Paypal"
I had an ebay and paypal account a few years ago. I did not accept credit cards and don't want to get into that hassle now either. Can't I just have it set up so that funds are deposited or withdrawn into my Paypal account. I don't understand this credit card business. Hope someone can explain.

payment option
That's for YOU to pay YOUR fees.

Oh, silly me, but can't my fees just be paid from my paypal account?
I don't see an option for that. Do I have to register a credit card and go through that roundabout way to pay?

There is an option somewhere, not sure where. I have taken to paying my eBay bill with Paypal when I get the bill on or about the 20th. Go to pay it and there is an option to tick to auto pay every time.
Ya have a long way to get to that point. Worry about that when ya have some bills to pay.

Had this GF a couple years back. Used to freak her that my eBay bill was more than her rent.

Optimism & an Armadillo Style Shell are your two best friends on eBay.
Welcome to the sometimes Crazy World of eBay.
Good Luck to you.

You can BUT Canadian Sellers must have a credit card on file in order to sell at all. When payment time comes around eBay will go to your PayPal account and if there is money in it they will take from that (they don't like paying credit card fees), if your balance happens to be zero then they will charge your credit card.

I don't have a credit card listed with PayPal, and they allow me to sell. My PayPal account is linked with my bank account though.
Also, can anyone tell me where to pay my eBay bill with USD so I can avoid the exchange fees ?

To pay your seller fees in US dollars, you need to ask eBay to bill you in US$. You can ask eBay to switch the billing currency (Cdn$ to US$ or vice versa) once a year.
For more information: http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/billing-currency.html
This will work fine if a large portion of your receipts are in US$. If billed in US$, you can pay eBay from your PayPal US$ balance or with a US dollar denominated credit card available from all major Canadian banks.
Personally, I have paid my eBay fees in US$ for fourteen years using my US$ BMO Mastercard, earning thousands and thousands of AirMiles on all my eBay fees! 🙂

Thanks Pierre. I was hoping to avoid a phone call, but it is what it is.
