Paypal payment notifications coming a week late?

Just wanted to give the heads up on this and see if anyone else experienced the same thing.

Today is one of my 3 weekly ship days and as usual, I printed out all my recent paypal notification receipts. I use them in conjunction with the "Awaiting Shipment" menu in Selling Manager to make sure I'm on top of everything and ship the right items to the right people.

Well, my heart sank when I noticed some of the items on my receipts were already shipped (insert wondering who I shipped them to here). Then when I went to selling manager, I couldn't even find the transactions in my "Awaiting Shipment" menu.

Anyhow after a brief moment of panic, I figured out what happened:

Two payments in question were processed through paypal last Wednesday. The payment notification receipts for both were not emailed to me. When I consulted Selling Manager last Wednesday there were marked as paid so I printed out a packaging slip on Selling Manager, and shipped the items off.

Yesterday and today I received payment notifications for both of these items dated the 16th and 17th but when I log into paypal the payments were made last week on the 10th.

I know I'm missing something, but that seems to be a complicated ay of doing things.

I just print my "awaiting shipment" and check Paypal for the others to make sure nothing has been missed.

I also had one late notification, paid on the 10th, payment email received on the 16th.
Must've been a glich or something.

I had eight PayPal payment notifications missing one evening last week. Five came in three to five hours late.

The last three showed up yesterday evening and this morning.

Hmmm - Paypal just recently picked up a whack of new business - Overstock dot com and Ali Baba came on board.

I wonder if their servers might not be up to the task?

I was just on the Paypal community boards for a while.

Complaints of this are all over the place - at least 6-8 complaints so far.

Started last night, from what I can see.
