Paypal "Internal Server Error"

I can't login in to paypal to check my balance since last afternoon. Get "Internal Server Error" all the time. I can print shipping label with paypal by click the "print label" button through ebay.ca .

Is this just me?

Re: Paypal "Internal Server Error"

My main business paypal account always went to "Internal Error" since Feb.3 afternoon. Made a few phones calls and finally a genius in Paypal opened a ticket for me in Feb.4. NOTHING HAPPENED SINCE THEN, always went to the "internal error" page when I login.

My personal paypal account works just fine so it's just some paypal accounts were affected. My main business account happened to be on of these account.

FOUR DAYS passed and nothing improved and nobody bother to call me to do some basic troubleshooting. Where is the a few thousands dollars I paid ebay & paypal fee every month? Can ebay hire someone who can really help?

Re: Paypal "Internal Server Error"

Paypal, along with a bunch of other sites, has been under attack since the end of January from a botnert called Pushdo or something like that.

The botnet is sending out millions of calls initiating contact, then hangs up on the sites it gets through to. Authorities think that the botnet is trying to throw up a smokescreen to hide where its main server is.

So Paypal has been somewhat busy. That might explain some of the issues.

That would explain if everyone equally was getting the problem.

The OP's issue is some internal PayPal oopsie.

Re: Paypal "Internal Server Error"

And you know what's scary? We pay clowns at PayPal $700/month in fees and when something like this happens, there is no-one to talk to, just anonymous mega-corp, who does not care and has zero accountability behind internet wall.

OP may be connecting through a weak server that's being more affected by the botnet attack than the others.

When she connects to the shipping module, perhaps that is routed through another server.

Re: Paypal "Internal Server Error"

OP, I had some server error trying to get to PayPal this morning. Tried several times, got it several times.

So I switched to Firefox (normally I use Chrome) and got in. Then I tried Chrome again and it worked this time.

I am thinking if there is some leftover data from previous session that needs to be reset, clear all your cache and cookies, wipe the browser clean. Try different browser.

Re: Paypal "Internal Server Error"

And it keeps doing it in Chrome. When I log-in, it will get to my account and then switch to "Server Error" in few seconds. I did not wipe this browser.

Firefox, which I did not use on PayPal in some time, has no problem. Logs-in and stays connected. I believe it has something to do with previous session data stored by your browser and some new upgraded PayPal code that is choking on that data. Code monkeys at PayPal at work for ya.
