HI all,fist please forgive me for asking a question that must have been answered many times before.

I bought an item on 12,25.2012.Jointer knives (3) 6-1/8 X 11/16 X 1/8 T1 HSS #380459127239

the next day asked the seller if my item was shipped since it was paid right away but had not received the paypal confirmation,he replied :

"Those left in yesterdays mail. I shipped thru Paypal and they should have sent you a shipping confirmation."

I am guessing may be paypal is a bit behind in sending them due to Christmas .

What other explanation is there ?I have no reason to believe the seller has not shipped it yet since he said he did.

Please let me know if this is normal for paypal to not send a confirmation notice on occasions.

Checked my junk mail ,nothing from paypal,how can I verify the shipment? could I go to my paypal account and see if it was shipped ?

Just checked my paypal account ,under the "shipment status" it says "shipped" and even gives me a tracking #

So it looks like it was shipped but the notice was lost somewhere or not sent yet,it's been 3 days.

You can check in PayPal your payment status of the item to verify that it was sent.

You cannot check shipping.

What does My ebay show to you regarding this item shipping status. Not that it is of much help.

The buyer could have marked it shipped so as to get the 1 day shipping for TRS status and will ship later. Remember it is Christmas so things may be delayed.

Another possibility is that the shipping day might be the next business day for PayPal. Which might be the 27th? because the 25 and 26 are holidays. PayPal will not send the shipping confirmation until the next business day for shipping.

The seller has 8 neutrals and 4 negatives on 3411 feedback this year. Not an unreasonable amount for the number of feedback. But the poor feedback seems to indicate poor communication skills.

I would be patient and wait a couple of days for the shipping confirmation. You are protected with PayPal Buyer Protection. If the item does not arrive in 3-4 weeks, then you could make a claim for Item Not Recevied.

Hi poco,thank you for your help,you mentioned I could not verify shipping with my papal,well I just double checked in "my recent activity" it shows payment completed and also shows under "order status/action" shipped and right next to it has a "track" in blue color if I click on it it will give me the label # and under status:

Dispatched to Sort Facility on DEC,24 1:12 pm ,international letter

So may be It is possible to verify it an item has been shipped using paypal,or may be I'm out to lunch lol.
