Has anything changed? Can a none store owner put an item on sale and show its on sale with the original price etc? It still appears you have to drop your price , in your title put sale and when you want to take your sale off, you have to end the listing and change the title assuming you had sold the item at your lower price.

I guess this could ebay's way of stopping everyone from having a sale

Markdown Manager is only available to store owners.

You can reduce your price to whatever level you feel will bring buyers but the "Markdown Manager" is not available unless you have an eBay store and pay the monthly fee for the privilege.
