Problem with Paypal shipping labels

When I got a new computer a few weeks ago, I found that Internet Explorer didn't work for me. I can't open most links, I can't print a Paypal shipping label or download pictures on my listings.

I am using Firefox, and I can print the shipping label alright, but each time, it prints one page with just the "powered by Pitney Bowes" on the top, and the rest is blank, then it prints the label on a new sheet. Is there any way to correct this?

Hi! I think you have the wrong paper size for this job.

Go into your prefernces for the lables before you print and make sure you have 8.5"x11" or at least A5 paper. Your computer should save this info for prinitng lables.

I find the best way to print, is also to change the paper orientation to landscape because portait is just too big.

Hope this helps

Do you mean to actually save the label size on the Paypal site? I can't find any way to do it.

PayPal printing uses the browser print setup options.

In Firefox, top left, click on File -> Page setup, then in Page Setup there is two tabs. In the first tab, make sure Portrait is selected. In the margins and footers tab, make sure the margins are set to 0.5 inches and all the header and footer options are all blank. I think the default is 0.75 inches and that is tight for the PayPal label setup.

This should clear up your PayPal printing issue. If not, then I do not know.

Now this becomes your browser print defaults. If you print other things from the Internet, these defaults may not be optimal.  I only print packing slips and labels so the defaults are fine for me.

Thanks pocomocomputing, I have made the changes, next time I have to print a label I will see if it works.

If I need to print something else from the internet, I can use google chrome. I don't know why IE will not work on my computer, I have all my favorites set on it. If I try to open a link from this board, it won't do it. I have the headlines for cbc on my igoogle and it won't open those either.

In Internet Explorer you can set the browser in compatibility mode. That used to work in my old IE 8 on Window XP for some sites that did not display properly. If you look at Tools in IE, there should be a compatibility button option. It might be in options also.  In IE8 it was in both places.

On Firefox...If the other solutions don't work....When you go to print the paypal label, on the very last box that comes up, there are three little boxes. Check off the 'pages' box and type in 1 next to it. That will eliminate the Pitney Bowes page. Above the pages box is another one called 'current page' that one might work too...I don't think that I've tried it.

Could Triber's problems with IE have something to do with a privacy setting and/or a pop up setting?

I print all of my labels to a virtual printer "cutepdf" first and then open them in photoshop to edit them. When I ship to the US and the destination has that second set of 4 digits in the zip code PayPal doesn't print those so I add them in via Photoshop. I can also alter the size of the label according to my box size and add in customs info etc. It's a little more time consuming doing it this way but infinitely customizable.

I use Safari

It seems to be the only browser that works for me. (Just make sure you allow popups on the side on paypal after install)

I've tried IE, Chrome, and Firefox

pocomocomputing: Labels are working fine now, thanks for the help.

Regards to IE I am told that my new computer is 64 bit, and that is why it's not working properly. ( I have no idea what that means!)
