Purchased items and not shipped

Hi All,

I have put a best offer on an item, and it was accepted when the time ended for the listing. I didn't notice that I have won the best offer bid for few days and went ahead and bought something similar from a local store.

Earlier this week, got an email from ebay that the seller has opened a case for non payment. I send a message to the seller, explaining the situation and asked if the order can be cancelled. There was no reply, so I went ahead and bought the item.

I have found out the seller has listed the same (or similar item) again in a separate listing and it has been sold as well. I got the confirmation from ebay/paypal that I have successfully bought the item and there was a shipping notification as well. But it seems the seller hasn't physically shipped the item yet, its just that shipping label has been created.

Emailed the seller already, if I am going to get the item or he'll refund the money, but no reply. What do you people suggest should I do now?

Wait for the seller to respond?

He doesn't seem to big on communication, but then neither were you when you let the payment for the original purchase slide.

So it is possible that he had multiples of the item?

and there was a shipping notification as well.

At this point, you bought, you paid (after some nudging) and there is a very good chance the seller shipped.

Not every seller uses tracking, especially on inexpensive items.

But very few sellers would PAY postage for an item they have no intention of shipping, especially since the buyer has a comeback on goods that are not delivered.

Wait until Day 20 after payment. If the item has not arrived, open an Item Not Received Dispute.
