Recently bought an item, without signing up for ebay, cannot get tracking

I bought an item, and did not sign up for ebay, just bought as a guest, now my email gives me this error when I try and track the order.

The following critical errors have occurred.

ERROR - DEPRECATED_GUEST_ORDER_DETAILS

Now I have signed up for ebay thinking I could trace my order, is there a way to track it? Or find out if it was even sent?

Contact the seller and ask for the date of shipping and the service used. Also ask for tracking, but many sellers, especially on low value items, do not track.

This is NOT important.

If you ordered it after Nov. 27, it will not arrive in time for Christmas.

You can contact the seller through the listing or through the payment on your Paypal account.

You are not the only user seeing this message. Is it possible that you have passed the 30-day mark from time of purchase? If so, open a case with Paypal in their Resolution Centre, If you didn't use paypal, call your credit card company and explain the situation, ask about a chargeback. I'm assuming, of course, that you already tried to contact the seller with no response?

I looked on my paypal account tracking is there, but it is apparently in Japan now, even though my address is in Canada.

When did you place the order? Is it being shipped from Japan? If the answers are ''more than 30 days ago" and "no" then I think you need to go to the Resolution Centre via paypal to open a case. Pay close attention to their instructions and deadlines and don't let any seller sweet talk you into closing a case for a replacement until the refund or replacement in is your hands.
