Did anyone else get this invitation?
http://mail.ebay.ca/r/mail/465e3II7a0e21II185123c6b28II1
I got the invite on my small selling account, not my primary one. I had to read it several times to confirm that this is "ONE ITEM" only during the three-day period.
I guess if you're selling a car or a boat :-), you could benefit from not paying FVF, but for most of us, I would say this is not such a big deal!

I got it also.
Looks like you have to use your mobile app to get this special.

You can call eBay to ask to increase your selling limits. eBay is SO SILLY in that area!!
Why they think we would be so excited to have only 1 item to sell when we could have 50. Wonder do you have 50 free monthly listings? If so, you can sell 50 items for free on eBay.ca and another 50 items for free on eBay.com.
You mean 1 item, you don't have to pay the final value fees? I think it mean you can list one item, no insertion fee, is it?

This doesn't have anything to do with selling limits, or 50 free listings, it's just 1 item with no insertion fee or FVF. Like Toby says, a good deal if you have something expensive to sell.

Cell phone users can easily download this app, if they don't already have it. I personally find it too slow and inconvenient to list items on a phone when it can be done so much faster on a computer.

That is the point of the promotion.
eBay wants sellers to try listing from their cellphone. That is where eBay sees the future, rightly or wrongly.

No doubt, it is the future. A lot of buyers are purchasing through their phones and iPads. But as a seller, when I think of cutting and pasting and using different fonts and colours, and having several IE tabs open at once, I can't even imagine doing that on a mobile ... but we'll adapt when we have to.

"I can't even imagine doing that on a mobile ..."
Neither can I as we do not have cell phones in this house. 🙂
