Hi Everyone,
I bought a coin from ebay and i paid via paypal. And the seller shipped my item on 22.01.2015.
When the package arrives on 11.02.2015, i opened it and i got totally shocked because he sent me a different coin which worths only 1$. I paid 175$ for my coin and the coin is not the one i bought.
And then immediately, with shock i tried to contact the seller but he closed his ebay account so of course he is not going to answer and i saw that he already had got as least 15 negative feedbacks. What he did to me, also he did someone else.
By the way his ebay id is;
No longer a registered user
In Germany.
And after that i opened a case " i didn't receive my item " but it was wrong. So i opened a wrong case. Because i received a different coin in a package, also there is no sender name & adress on the package, only tracking number and then 7 days past, but now ebay customer support says hold on on until 5 march allow time to additional documentation.
I am really afraid that i will lose my money.
So, now i am thinking that should i close this case and open another instead of "i didn't receive my item", and i will open "the item i received didn't as described". And i don't know could i open another case on this subject ? Or just i lose my chance ?
I want to add photos of the package and the different coin, also i want to speak, or comminucate with ebay customer support that i am trying to scam by the seller, but really don't know how?
I am not a newbie for ebay, but this is the first time a seller try to scam me and things gone worse.
In addition, now i only got a short time, and they say hold on until 1 March. What am i going to do in this days?
Also at the end of the page, i add the photo of the different coin and the package. I am really afraid to lose my money for nothing.
Please help me.
Many thanks for your answers in advance. Best Regards.

Your pictures are useless as there is no continuity of evidence, in other words, no evidence the coin pictured is the one received. This is a common error, people assume because they know they are telling the truth, the truth is self evident. No evidence of this nature carries any weight with ebay or PP.
The case type is a matter of semantics. Certainly you did not receive the coin you paid for, but you did receive something.
The correct route is an Item Not as Described case, and I think you can change the Not Received to not as described, but await other advice as I have never tried this.
The seller has not closed his account, he has been kicked off ebay, which should facilitate your getting a refund.

Hi,
Many thanks for your answer. You are right but this is the coin what i received. I tried to change but there is no option for changing it in ebay. I know, but with a mistake i did this. I am trying to contact ebay.ca phones but it is really hard to contact from an other country.
They are not answering to me. Is there another way to contact with ebay.ca ?
Best Regards.

I would call PayPal and explain the situation, they are much better to deal with from a CSR point of view. I definitely would not close the dispute you have opened because you might not be able to open another.

i tried to contact the seller but he closed his ebay account
When you talk to the eBay or Paypal clerk, make sure he understands that the seller is Not A Registered User. EBay does not lightly close down accounts and it is almost certain this guy has a bad record.
The clerk should understand this.
If he doesn't ask for a bump to a higher level.
NARU is an instant shutdown, usually for bad behaviour.
If a seller wants to close her account, it takes a couple of months, because eBay wants to make sure all transactions for that seller are completed.
You may be asked to return the coin to the seller. Try to get the clerk to understand this will cost you $40 or more (find out exactly at canadapost.ca). Clerks are not well paid and this may help him understand your trouble.
If possible, make your enquiry while the Utah offices are open. While this has the advantage of a mostly anglophone staff, they are Americans and may have difficulty with concepts like "Canada" "Germany" and the like. The Phillippinas are better at geography but not as good at English.
Pee before you call. Have a snack handy. Bring a good book. Don't call from a cell phone you pay minutes on.
