Sellers Dashboard (lite)

It's available NOW (at least for me and a few others).

I wasn't getting access through My eBay on .com but from My eBay on .ca I am able to access.

Just trying to decide how to celebrate my $9.83 windfall profit!

Don't spend it all in one place. 😉

Of course not.....

If I go to Wendy's and then cross over to the (combined) Tim Horton's for dessert would that qualify as not "all in one place"?

What a load of cr.p!!

I checked to see if I had Dashboard in My eBay and it is there all right. They have not yet calculated my discount, but they show my S/H rating at 4.7. I check it every time someone leaves feedback and it has NEVER fallen below 4.8. It is very possible that it is hovering on the verge but it has never shown it being lower.

Judy,

I just looked at my dashbooard and like you eBay has not yet calculated my discount. However, my ratings are 5.0, 5.0, 4.9 and 4.9. BUT....that is for the past 30 days! When looking at my OVERALL DSR's they are 5.0, 5.0, 4.9 and 4.8. Check yours again and see if the 4.7 is just for the past 30 days.

The 4.7 is for the past 30 days but the required rating for a 15% discount is 4.8.

I don't understand how it could be 4.7 as it has never, ever, shown as being less than 4.8. And I check it constantly.

It's actually pretty simple...

Let's say you life to date rating is 4.8, if a buyer comes and gives you a 4, it's unlikely to move your number at all since you have hundreds of ratings (at least not that you can see with a single decimal place).

For your rolling 30 day rating you might only have 50 ratings (instead of 500), if you get a 4 it will have a much greater impact.

From what I'm seeing & hearing it looks like sellers with lower overall ratings are more likely to have the ratings go down whereas sellers with high overall ratings are more likely to see their 30 day numbers go down slightly.

The calculated discount won't show up until your first April billing which will either be today or tomorrow or around the 15th depending on your billing date.

Hi recped,

The first time I checked for my dashboard on .com I could not access it only on .ca like you mentioned. However, today...I'm seeing it on both.

HI All,
Well I looked twice and found it under the My Account heading in the left side bar of My eBay.

And Wow! was I pleasantly surprised!
My 30 day detailed ratings were 4.9, 4.9, 4.8, 4.8!

Thats up from 4.8, 4.8, 4.7, 4.6 on my total history.

When the new rules rolled out at the end of January I adjusted the way I do things to accommodate the new eBay and it seems that I will be enjoying a 15% discount on the my FVF's if this trend continues.

I started giving feed back right after shipping, asking for feedback in my follow up emails etc etc. so it seems to have paid off.

Hi weedsellit4u,

If you go into your My eBay, look on the left hand side and you'll see DASHBOARD in the list of links. Click on that it will take you to your Dashboard.

Hi All
On the surface the 15% looks great but if I calculate from my last paid invoice the 15% translates into a whopping $21.13. But I will take it anyway. Over a year its $250.00.

You're going to get dizzy looking at it every day. Don't forget each day you have to add the new feedbacks AND remove the feedbacks from the previous day 31.

When the numbers change you can't tell if it's low rating being added in or high ratings falling off (or vice-versa!).

I don't think it's ever been definitively stated that we will ever see the tenths. If we do I expect it will be AFTER the ability to leave negs has been removed.

I just noticed my seller dashboard. I have 4.8 and 4.9 everywhere, excepted SHIPPING TIME 4.7...

Thing is, I always ship same or next day, always within 24h even if I only have one package (excepted on Sunday of course).

Canadian Powersellers should need 4.7 instead of 4.8 on SHIPPING TIME to get the 15%! Who has 4.8 on SHIPPING TIME here, but with 95% buyers from outside Canada, like me ?

Buyers will never understand the difference between the shipping guy and the delivery guy, unfortunately...

15% is impossible to achieve for me, even if I always do my very best. Not fair. X-(

Shipping days are Monday and Thursday and I let the buyer know how long it will take... 30 day DSR at 4.9

A contrast to 4.7 for DSR with feedback. Buyer in Spain did not like the time surface mail took... about two months ago... Blocked her... did not say anything.

International non-US buyers have not been a problem. Surface mail takes 10 to 12 weeks to Australia new Zealand, long after they can leave feedback, 60 days with the new rules.

I think the important thing here is communication about when the parcel is shipped, how long it will take, and making that package look like a rating of 5.
