Shipping with Canada Post inside PayPal

Has anyone noticed you can now ship with CP or UPS from inside Paypal?

Anyone tried it yet?

Looks pretty easy and simple, but the rates don't seem to be as good as what I get now with EST. Could there be a way to ship on your CP account from there?

Also, if we ship CP Small Packet from Paypal, will they consider it as a proof of shipment?

THats a good question about the proof of shipment I would use it for that reason alone.

I've already shipped for today, but I took a practice run at it without actually purchasing the label. Looks like you have to pay for each package individually - anyone know if you can batch a days shipping and pay/print once?

Payment through Paypal is the default, at a current exchange rate of 1.11%. Right, like that's going to happen!

I purchased a digital camera from a Canadian seller 2 days ago and he used the paypal shipping through Canada Post. Here is the email I got from paypal:

I just used it to ship small packet air to the US, I love it.
IT gave me an Item ID # that looks like a tracking number, this id great no address's to punch in anymore.
Truly a time saver. I then went back into paypal and it gives me a tracking # for small packet air how cool is that 😛

There is GST when the postage is under $5 so it will be charged on sub 250 gram surface. Since it is charging on each item it looks like it won't combine items to be over $5 like it does ( or at least should) at an outlet.

Hello, Vaughn:

I've discovered an error in the system. I have packages measuring 30cm x 26cm x 6cm at .245 KG that I am sending to U.S. addresses via USA Small Packet Air. When I enter the data and click Continue I receive the error message

"You have entered invalid dimensions. Please check your entry and try again."

The dimensions I entered (30 x 26 x 6) are well within the minimum and maximums as outlined in Canada Post's specifications.

I am unable to use this new tool until this is fixed.

There is no delivery confirmation on small packets. Period.

This tool needs some ironing out. It feels like it is still in beta and we are left to do the final testing.
