That little brown envelope icon means nothing, really. Some sellers mark an item shipped after they get home from the mailbox, others mark it shipped right after you pay and then send it at their convenience. Some never mark it at all.
Two weeks is not a long time at all, certainly not when you have just over 6 weeks to file a Not Received claim. For myself, I don't pester sellers about delivery until 4 weeks has passed, simply because I have often waited that long or longer for the item to show up. If you are kind and unthreatening, sometimes you get a 'confession' that the thing wasn't put in the mail for 2 weeks.

And as you have heard, the important thing is to never close a claim until you have either your money back or your item. And always file no later than day 43.
