Hello fellow ebay sellers,
I have a question regarding signature required from Canada Post. As I know, items that are valued or sold over $250 must require a signature confirmation and insurance in order to protect the seller. The question I would like to know is what if the signature being signed by is not the buyer's name? Will the seller still be protected or no? And also what's the point of signature confirmation if it isn't the buyer that signs it but still gets signed and package given to.
Thanks and much appreciated for your time and answers.

As long as the person on the doorstep is an adult there should be no problem.
If the parcel is picked up at the PO, the clerk needs to see adequate government issued picture ID.
But it doesn't have to be the addressee.
