I do not recall seeing anything like this listed here before.

I thought I would start a string of brilliant buyer requests and comments that everyone can contribute.

Feel free to add your great buyer questions or comments.

Here is a question I recieved from a buyer.

Question

Dear fitzheuen_palms_and_pdas,

Will you take $50.00 for this? Your competitor is selling them for less.

Response

Thanks for the offer but we are not interested in selling for less that what we have this listed as we do not have a best offer on this item. We suggest that you purchase this from our competitor if they offer a better deal. Thanks for the email.

Re: Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

Question from a buyer in Singapore

hi, v interested in your bag! Will like to know if u can ship through US Postal Service to me. Thanks.

I replied that I wasn't in the U.S. and that we didn't have the U.S. Postal service in Canada but that I would be able to send it to her with Canada Post.

she replied..

hi, I'm sorry. I can't receive from other deliver companies.

OOOOKKKKK

Actually I do get asked once in a while if I can use USPS. Sometimes they even tell me how much it will cost. lol They never factor in the 6 hour drive one way though.

Re: Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

me: I see you left neutral FB about too small despite the dimensions in the descriptions and you also asked several questions about this item before sale. Not sure what we have done wrong here. All I can do is to offer you a refund upon return of the goods. If you would be willing to revise the neutral, I can offer refunding your payment WITHOUT returning the goods back.

him: maybe there is some mistake i thought these at 6mm would be aprox 1/4" across.

me: I asked the staffer to measure with caliper. 6.13mm = 0.24". No mistake.

him: here in the US we dont use the metric system, that makes it con fusing. how about sending me 5 momentary switched 1/2"?

me: Here in Canada we do and you purchased buttons from Canada. This seems to be a waste of time, do not worry about repairing feedback, please buy your items somewhere else next time.

him: im not doing buisness in canada ur doing buisness in the US. a more honest aproach would be to take a picture in your hand and avoid any confusion. my offer included me paying shipping for the 5 1/2" switches. reasonable since im throwing these away!

I decided not to waste any more time and did not respond

Re: Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

I wonder if Revenue Canada would accept a receipt from erotic service as a business write-off.

Classed as entertainment 50% deductibility. It's revenue to her and she has to report it. Doesn't have to be legal to be subject to tax.

Prostitution is legal in Canada. Living off the avails of prostitution and various "nuisances" are not.

So the working girl (or boy) can pay her taxes with a clear concience.

Her landlord however.....

Q from buyer: do the car tires advertised include the headlights?

(I've subsititued car parts for the camera parts they were inquiring about, but the gist is the same!)

Q: to American seller: will you ship to Canada?
A from seller: Sorry, we do not ship overseas.

Re: Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

Q: Is this a easy to remove/replace item? How many connections? Any soldering?

A: it is easy to replace, however it is static sensitive so we would not recommend it if you have not done repairs on a regular basis.

Q: Are you a repair person or are familiar with the XX?
I just dropped my XX (somewhat gently) and it's now not powering up. Do you think this would be the repair to fix the prob? I'd hate to spend 100-150 to fix a XX I can replace for just a little more...

A: From what you are saying I strongly advise that you not attempt the repair.

Q: Thanks for advising. I'm sending you good karma--anyone who talks me out of a purchase deserves it!

ROFL

Thanks for the suggestion, Pierre. That person would actually be an excellent fit as eBay rep.

However, I got an even better one today who phoned and said she could not look at the job description on-line as she ditched her computer years ago because computers are just a PITA (she actually used those words).

Living in a little logging town and being an e-Tailer sure has it's challenges lol. Good lord, no wonder some people here think I'm the local "drug-store".

Re: Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

This happened many yeas ago... do not have the exact wording but the following shows what happened.

Buyer bought a book for $6.99, paid, received book and left feedback.

A day later she emails me.

The price on the book says $4.99. What are you doing selling it for $6.99.

My response.

The book was published in 1979, with a price tag of $4.99. That same books sells retail for $14.95 today..

Glad she had already left positive feedback
