I do not recall seeing anything like this listed here before.

I thought I would start a string of brilliant buyer requests and comments that everyone can contribute.

Feel free to add your great buyer questions or comments.

Here is a question I recieved from a buyer.

Question

Dear fitzheuen_palms_and_pdas,

Will you take $50.00 for this? Your competitor is selling them for less.

Response

Thanks for the offer but we are not interested in selling for less that what we have this listed as we do not have a best offer on this item. We suggest that you purchase this from our competitor if they offer a better deal. Thanks for the email.

I sell scrapping supplies and have listed Deluxe Cuts Skis Laser Die Cut Set. The listing has the measurements for the skis...being 9-1/2 INCHES for $2.25 US. Another listing was for Deluxe Cuts Ski Poles Die Cut Scrapbooking Set...measurements of 7-3/8" for $1.75 US.

A gentleman from Quebec e-mailed me and wanted to know how many times these had been used on the slopes!

I had a good chuckle because they are made of paper and are for scrapbooking. I wrote him back to let him know and I think he laughed even more that I did!

Have a good one!

thank you

Our response

Hi

We did not put a strike on you account as this has been paid for and there was no such action taken. I am looking at the information and we have left positive feedback for you on the transaction. We do not show this in the dispute console for being unpaid. Maybe you are confusing us with another seller.

Is this a new language, did I fall off the planet in the last eclipse, is Aprils fools day still on, or is it groundhog day.

Am I missing something here ???

The person's name sounds normal enough on the payment information ???

OK, I've got one from earlier this week.

The item in question is a Swarovski Crystal "Water Pipe". The description says that the piece is 2" high and made of crystal and 18k gold plated.

Q: is it really 2 inches high? is it a working hookah, or just a replica?

A: Hi, Yes, it is only 2 inches high. It is a decorative crystal replica of a hookah, and therefore not ‘working’. Thanks for your inquiry.

I had someone ASQ me last week,

"Will you take $50 for your item? The ebay system isn't letting me bid on it"

"That's because I blocked you."

Here is a new one.

Question

I will like to buy your item at buy now for 50.00 all included with shiping cost. please respond. thanks my email

Answer

I suggest that you purchase this for someone else then if you feel that this is worth so little compared to other sellers or markets.

There is no best offer on this item in the ad.

We are not interested in giving this away and losing $25.49 usd on a $75.49 usd sale.

NOW here is a dumb one that screwed me too! happened today! advice anyone?

Question...

Hello, I would like to at least have an estimate of how much gold im actually going to get before i pay. Is that possible? Thanks.
- froggyfreak330

My response....

Hello and thank-you very much for your purchase, as far as telling you exactly what your going to get that would be impossible, I hope you did read the auction before buying. I make ten bags at a time and salt them with gold and platinum as described i the auction the least you can get is over 4grams of gold and 5 pieces of platinum in the 18 mesh range. The most I put into the bags is 7 grams of chunky gold and up to 12-15 18 mesh platinum pieces. I see your rather new to ebay and I would like to make a suggestion this is the kind of question that should be asked before you purchase, every time you make a purchase on ebay the seller is charged about 12-15% in fees from ebay so you should only bid if you are 100% sure you will pay this is ebay policy. I understand why you asked and it is a fair question but using this rule of thumb will keep you out of trouble with sellers.

her response...

Im sorry but i think im going to have to cancel this transaction. I want to get it but my husband doesnt, he says thats just too much to spend on something were not sure of, so im gonna have to listen to him. Sorry for not buying.

arrrrrrgh now i am short 500 dollars of items as there are purchases i cannot revise it to add the two back that she doesn't want, i have to recover fees, dispute and all christ people like this piss me off! (CAN YOU SAY BLOCKED) also anyone know if i can add those two back this is 500 dollars in potentially lost sales that cannot be resold either.

Hi

Have you shipped these items already ???

The only concellation if you have not shipped is that you will get your fees back by UPI FVF.

If you have shipped and they have aready removed the gold then you are going to have to eat the costs.

Also why cant this be resold ???

Available quantities and price can be updated undefinitely even if the listing has been bought from. You can keep your listing alive forever this way.

Now here's a funny one that I woke up to this morning- this buyer makes me an offer for an item of 350 bucks on the weekend. I accepted it, and now he wants to barter- Hope you find this as funny as I did!!-

Ok! Guy's here's the story I'm still layed off from my job,but in the last 2 week's or so I've managed to raise $300.00 for this guitar, selling things believe it or not, that my neighboors have thrown out on ebay.
(I can hear you guy's laughing from here!) but it's true, My one neighbor (who must work for Conn Instrument's, threw out not one but 18 like new Trombone cases! and I grabbed every one, thinking,(I've surely hit the mother-load!) trouble is I don't know 1 trombone player, let alone 18 of'em, and would'nt you know not many people on ebay know any either! but guess what I got rid of all of them for next to nothing, so I've got $300.00 I'll send you immeadiately through paypal if by the Grace of God you'll accept it and give this ol boy a break! (is 54 old?) please, please, at least considerate my offer. my wife wants to kill me, but hey I'm the one having to sell these stupid Trombone cases!
Please guy's find it in your heart, to accept my money, (I really want the guitar).

Wow........just when you thought you'd heard 'em all!!!!!!!!
Cheers,

Yeah, No kidding that's what I thought.
Anyway, I offered to "meet him in the middle" at 325 US and he agreed and finally paid by echeck. Just before he paid he thanked me very much and said that he was glad I could help him out, and that he still had 1.86 left over in his bank!!
Now THAT'S cutting it pretty close, don't 'cha think??!!

Cheers,

Buy a bag of chips and it's all gone.

Maybe he can use the guitar to go out and beg for money.

I've heard a few that people play NOT to sing.;-) -------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear fitzheuen_palms_and_pdas,

I was given a Franklin leather zip planner with a PDA casing inside. It measures 3" x 5" - which PDA's in your store will fit it - preferably a color screen? Thanks

Silly Buyer Question for the Day Add your buyer Questions & Comments

Not exactly question, but fits the "silly buyer":

Have a 0-feedback buyer from Columbia. He paid, we ship. Two days later he sent email specifying address we should ship to. Too late, I said, we shipped it to address you provided during payment.

Now he inquired about the shipment. I check and we shipped it to this:

, Barranquilla, Atlantico, Barranquilla, Barranquilla, 005, Colombia.

Now I checked WIkipedia and learned that Barranquilla is a 1.1mil city. At this point I know he is not getting his parcel.

Conclusion: we don't scrutinize buyers addresses, but perhaps for 0 feedback ones we should start. There is a good chance they don't know where they live.

I wouldn't give up hope on that one yet - different countries have different ways of specifying their addresses - that one looks comprehensive enough that it might give them an idea where he really is.

Is the new address substantially different, like does it say Bolivia, for instance?:^O -------------------------------------------------------------------
