Something weird with Watch lists

You know how the full-limit for the Watch list is 200 items?

I was just able to add another four to the total number of watched items.... but only through my ebay iPhone app.

The desktop site won't allow any other listings to be added. It says it's full. Which it is.

Makes no sense. Strange, eh?

Other people are reporting problems with various lists. This is not so much a problem as it is an oddity.

So... I guess if you've always been dying to add another 50 items to your already-full watch list, this is your moment to shine. The sky is the limit. Or something.

Problem is that the glitches aren't systematic.

One day it works one way, and the next day there's a different pattern so you always have to be on top of the current glitch if you want to be sure you actually added an item to your list.

I just thought it odd. The limit has been 200 for as long as I can recall.

And problems with lists are showing up elsewhere on the discussion thread so that says to me eBay is messing around behind the scenes. I wonder as to the reason.

I'm up to 231 now. Shall we take wagers as to whether this causes my whole Watch list to explode within 48 hours? I'm thinking the chances are good.

I got up to 300 before I was notified with an Error Message on my mobile device app that the list was full.
