Long story....I'm not sure if a guy is trying to scam me, but let's put that question to the side for a minute....has anybody here ever called Canada Post and had them successfully stop a shipment from being delivered? I sent an item out Expedited Parcel, and I'm wondering if a call to Canada Post will turn that package around rather than have it delivered. I've got 24 hours max as the package will be delivered on Friday without intervention....

When I used to ship via Canada Post, I had to stop/re-route a shipment on 2 occasions. Once it actually worked, the second time, the item was delivered, in spite of my directions to not deliver. I seem to recall the CP customer service rep tell me they would "try" however, it is not guaranteed. Hopefully someone else will come along with more info. Good luck.

Hum....how was this done? I've tried calling the Canada Post 1-800 number, but they told me that a package cannot be stopped once it crosses the counter.

you're likely to get ten different answers when you deal with canada post staff, nine of them wrong. keep calling till you get someone who says you CAN stop it, and proceed to with that person...it doesn't sound like something you CAN'T do, especially if its been done before...

Maybe he had an account rep whereas I'm a simple Venture One customer dealing with the call center agents? Honestly, I think my best chance of catching this package might be if its gets carded for delivery and I call the postal outlet in Montreal first.... I am open to suggestions if anybody has any.
