Since the US PS Forums have it I decided we should start a thread discussing politics here in Canada and abroad. Let me know if we can keep this thread going!

The Official Canadian PS Politics Thread

This thread is sadly degeberating into a {{{Group Hug}}}...

Just when I thought the forum was starting to perk up! 😉

actually it's "degenerating" but degerberating would be a reasonable description as well!

Ben, any time I feel like a little degeberation I just go post something on the .com board. Then I can come back here, bloodied (but unbowed), and a {{{group hug}}} feels damn good!!

But if you're bored, well ... say something outrageous so we can all attack you and add some sparkly life.

Actually I have to get back to doing my 2004 Financial statements, once I know how badly I've done I'll be more in the mood for a fight!

I thought that you were keeping up one for one with eBay in terms of profits.

I input more of my financial information onto a spreadsheet yesterday primarily to get off my GST report for the end of this month but I still have to wait to do financials as CP is all over the map invoicing me.

My last CP bill paid 2 days ago included shipments from mid November and I still have some shipments that I made in September that they havent invoiced me for yet including more from November.

Kind of makes it difficult claiming GST paid on shipments when you havent been billed for them yet.

Ooooh Ben, I can relate! I've just finished August and I've realized that, since I added PayPal as a payment option, THE WHOLE THING IS SCREWED!!!!! so I have to do July to Dec. all over (I don't think there's an emoticon that actually fits this situation!!) AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now ... if anyone wants some comments on CAnada Revenue or GST or PST or TAX SOFTWARE, or even accounting software ... well, post away - I'm ready to give almost anyone an earful and a really powerful smack upside the head !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont use any packaged software. I create my own spreadsheets and in that way I am 100% confident in everything that I post, where it comes from and where it is going.

Somewhat slower, plenty of opportunities for error but I feel like I am in control of it and can at least explain everything I am doing and know where everything comes from.

I know its old school, and is contrary to systems that I put in or recommend for clients but its Mine, all Mine!

Malcolm, that's exactly the way I've been doing it, and excel spreadsheet for each month, so I can't blame anyone for my really stupid mistakes (but I'd sure like to blame the government -- after all, everything else is their fault!!) And there's gotta be an easier way - a way where we can blame somebody else for mistakes!!

I came close to posting in that thread on .com that it wasn't GWB's fault at all -- it was the Canadians! Would have been fun to see the fur fly until they realized I'm Canadian and it was tongue-in-cheek (if they ever did - a few of those Yanks are pretty dense!)

Excuse my ignorance. Maybe my brain isn't working today but what does GWB stand for?

Well it can NEVER be their fault after all can it? See no evil, hear no evil, do no evil!

I think the worst is the current sex education being implemented in the Texas school system courtesy of GWB who is planning the same across the nation.

What type of sex education is simply either abstinence or marriage? Great values, wrong century.

It reminds me of the other famous phrase "You are either with us, or against us". No middle ground, no negotiation, no compromise, no discussion whether they were right or wrong.

It will probably spur the greatest birth increase in Texas not to mention a horrendous increase in the amount of transmitable diseases.

Aw what the heck, just blame it on the Canadians.

GWB is a politician who just had his 2nd innaugaration south of the border!

If you need more hints than that, it will cost you $1.

I think that it has been politically correct and acceptable for us to use his initials on this board and avoid possible censorship or being attacked by any US PSer who might wander over here and be a GWB supporter.

Although what US PSer in their right mind would want to read our threads as they are so boring compared to theirs.

GWB and others like him serves a great purpose to us. What would TV programs like SNL or the Daily Show do without them.
