Hi everyone. Does anyone know if I can apply for this new discount with Canada Post even if I already have an account with them? My savings are currently not great with them and 15% off would be appreciated. Thanks, please help!

This would basically mean you would have two accounts with Canada Post . As it stands two things may happen , Canada Post will call you after you apply . They may ay you aready have an account

Or
They may not call you and then open a second account

What I would do ???

I would prefer having only 1 account with 15% discount. I mean... keep using only 1 account #... which is the one I am using ... now! What do you think?

If you already have an account with Canada Post, call them and ask if the EBay discount is greater that what you are receiving. If it is, then go with the Ebay discount.

You can not get another agreement number attached to your file as far as I know.
Its important not to get hung up on the fact that there would be a "2nd account" with 2 bills etc, What SHOULD happen is that your agreement# will change to the ebay discount.
Your customer# and billing would remain the same

My Cp rep stated you can not combine your exsisting account with the Ebay discount . The reason is Ebay.ca is prescreening the accounts that Sign up with Canada Post for accuracy

If you have an existing account the only thing that will change is the "agreement number". This agreement # is your file with your discount and any notes about your account.
If you take advantage of the Ebay discount after making sure it is better than your current discount, you will not actually have a "2nd account" with Canada Post. Canada Post will simply assign your existing account the new agreement #.

Somthing people should not....I caught this a couple days ago and noticed the site has been changed . When Ebay.ca rolled out the discount . It stated 5 to 15% discount on Express Post USA

5 days Ago Ebay.ca site said both Express Post USA and Expidited

However , I noticed that the CP site sated for Ebay.ca powersellers . The discount applied only for Express Post USA

I wrote ebay about this and Ebay.ca sit has now been changed ..

It looks like the discount rate is only for Express Post USA to America and nothing else

According to me, I think that you'd better use the Venture One card or use VCD. The discount is almost the same as the one powersellers gives us but you dont have the problems that comes with it (double signup, double accounts, losing timne talking to you cp rep, etc...

I think I will stay with my old way of doing it... 5% to o15% is really not big... We are doing a lot of shipping and we deserve a lot more than that

What I find kind of a drag is that Ebay can not negotiate a much better discount. A while back your-chic-shopper grouped about 100+ powersellers and received a discount equal to or greater than 15%. This was all done with minimal work in about 1 week.
Why can't Ebay do better when they can show Ebay the total #'s? I wonder if they showed UPS and FEDEX the #'s that powersellers are doing if it would put them into a bidding war.
I think Ebay could be doing much much more.
