This will be my 3rd. I was at Live in New Orleans and in San Jose. I agree with Monique re the organization.
YES! I believe it is well worth it to learn, to network with eBay staff, with our US and International counterparts and with other Canadians. You can do so much online, face to face is definitely a +.
I am also in Voices on .COM, Live is an opportunity to go recharge our batteries, discuss eBay at lenght and so much more with the people we interface with during the year.
You can also have a lot of fun if you know people and you go the right venues.
YES! Live is very well organized.
eBay Canada could have done much better than they did last year. They peaked in 2004. It has been downhill since. I hope that with new management in place, eBay.CA will do better this year. If you are not in Toronto, it is their 1 chance for them to meet and greet you and to make you proud at the invites as well as on the floor. I want to feel proud, I don't want to feel like a poor cousin. I want to get to know them better. Last year, I did not feel proud.
Last year, eBay.com seized the opportunity to introduce the US Postmaster general and great new features available to US users starting at eBay Live. Any US user could ship anything across the US for a minimal fee in boxes USPS/eBay.
We had people from Canada Post present at the ebay.ca breakfast... they were not even introduced. You accidently met them if you walked around and bumped into them. There was very poor attendance in 2005.
