In 1999 I with others set up pirate radio station called DRK RADIO.
It was great fun and lasted for about one year.
There was some great djs playing blues to rock pop and a bit of everything.
The djs names were in code so the powers that be did not know who we were.
There was the silver fox
The hairy man
Dj hacker
Billy the kid
Togge
Chris Carroll
And many more.
What I would like to do now is start it again on this board.
You be the dj and find the music video you want to play on YouTube and post a link on here.
You can also post a video of you talking about the song you picked if you like.
And the next posted do the same.
I will get the ball rolling

This was the very first song played at live aid.
Not a great song, but we have to start with something.
Can you do better, please join in.

I’ve never heard Hendrix doing catfish blues. Thanks for the link…..I got just the video I’m working on, to add that to.
I was at a car show on the weekend and took 282 photos but alas this board’s new system only allows 2 photos to be published at a time…it’s not worth the effort. Although there were a few interesting ladies in the photos…nothing compared to that video!
This is the car show last year…… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y7xI99rRwY
The Friday night before the festival all the cars (some 400) that want to participate (many more arrive on Saturday) ……they split into two groups in the early evening and go through small villages in the area in a large figure 8 pattern and then back to Zurich. It has become a tradition in the villages to wet the road (and some add dishwashing liquid) so that the muscle cars can do burn outs. People line the road, bring out their lawn chairs and beer and watch for the vintage cars and the burn outs. This is an example someone took of one village a couple of years ago …. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euZ3-LQ-d_8&feature=relmfu
This year the cops were all over the place in some villages. They know how to ruin a good thing.

I agree with the comments about the Leon's Twin Turbo VW. Also all those guys trying to keep it straight on the dyno…….if it threw a rod….someone was going to have a very bad day!
The tractor was a good! You could do a 100 acres in about 15 min!
The Camaro is definetly different. Never seen spinners like those. I’m not into muscle cars like I use to be. I have an antique Lincoln, so I’ve changed from….. how fast I get there….to how I get there. (and I don’t miss the speeding tickets)
It’s the long holiday weekend here in Canuckland…..what we call Labour Day weekend. It started in the 1880’s as a tribute to workers and unions….but today we have fewer workers (things are being increasingly manufactured offshore) and there’s people who want to see the end of unions so that our workers can be paid less and less. But that’s a whole other discussion. Today the weather was perfect for sightseeing and driving so I decided to open up the Doors………..

Dull Tuesday morning. Summer is over which is what a lot of people say after the Labour Day holiday and kids go back to school. Tree leaves are turning colour (it seems to be early this year) and the crops in the fields are ready to be harvested. The earth is getting ready to sleep.
So I walked out of my shop and it was pouring rain and I stood there to just quietly enjoy it. In the background on the shop radio a tune started to play and every time I hear it, it reminds me of a moment in time……..
It was just before my first marriage and the future wife and I were looking for an apartment in a new building. We went in to the model suite and like all model suites it was furnished. Over in the corner was a stereo playing a song by Roberta Flack. It was almost surreal then and even thinking about it now it still feels that way. I wasn’t ready for marriage and I suppose neither was she…..but our ‘friends’ (lol) said it was time I settled down. We separated amicably after 11 months. I took my clothes and one of the cars and left her everything else. Still though, every time I hear that song I inevitably think of her and that moment in time. I hope she is doing ok and life has been good to her.

Hi all I am back
Sept 11th is always a sad time for me and in 2003 on the day Sept 11th I was at ground zero.
It was a very sad day and I had to get out of there.
I went to a bar http://www.yelp.ie/biz/irish-haven-brooklyn
This was near where I lived in Brooklyn Newyork and this was my local.
My type of bar.
Any way paul j built a bike about Sept 11 and they also made a video just now about the bike NICE WORK
