What does one's Puchase History disappear - why?

I have bought hundreds of things off of eBay. I want my Purchase History to continued to be viewable until I personally delete it. Right now, I am only able to see purchases over the last few months before the system deletes it. I don't like this because maintaining contact with a seller may be needed long after my purchase.

You may contact the seller if the item has the feedback from the seller

I do not think eBay is able and willing to keep such records for over 3 months - this time is sufficient for any type of international delivery.

I personally think that 3 months is reasonable length of time for records.

Purchase history is available for 3 years. Click on purchase history and then near the top of the page under purchases, check off archived to see your purchases for each year.

Hello 'foolhope',

<<I have bought hundreds of things off of eBay.>>

Are you referring to another account?  No matter, the same stuff applies.  After 60 days ebay

automatically moves items from your Purchase History to your Archives.

You can find this by clicking the word Archived directly under the Purchases bar.

Note the drop-down box beside the word  Period.

Ebay only stores these items for 3 years, so anything older than that will not be available.

<<I want my Purchase History to continued to be viewable until I personally delete it>>

You can view the previous 3 years' worth in the Archives, but more than that will not be saved.

Nor can you delete items no matter how badly you want to.  You can only move recent items from

your Purchase History and hide them in the Archives by clicking the little box in the upper left corner

of the listing and then scrolling down to find the Archive button and clicking that.

If you accidentally move something to Archives and you want it back, simply click the word Archived

under the Purchases bar, find the item, then over on the right where it says  More actions, click that

and select  Move to recent purchases.

This will only work on items newer than 60 days, after that they are archived for good, albeit still viewable.
