Not really.
Your buyer has backed his Paypal account with his bank account, rather than keeping a balance or using a credit card.
As a result the "e-cheque" has to clear both the Canadian and the American banking systems before it can be released to PP and to you, the seller.
This can take upwards of 10 days.
Some sellers will ship on receipt of notice that an e-cheque has been sent. Others prefer to wait until PP allows them to print a shipping label, after the cheque has cleared.
Thank your buyer for his purchase, explain about the delay in clearing e-cheques (and use that exotic spelling, so he knows you are from another country), tell him you will ship as soon as PP lets you print the shipping label.
And when you do ship, let him know the parcel is on its way.
It's more work, but PP stupidly tells buyers who use the e-cheque service that it is "instant payment". Piffle.
