Yikes, how does the ordinary person make sense of what to do: "ISPs, ESPs, SPF, DKIM, DMARC" -- my head is spinning.

I have a notice in red on every listing asking buyers to check their Spam boxes for incoming emails.  Unless and until eBay reassures its sellers that they have dealt with any problems related to emailing.

By the way, I've seen nothing from eBay.ca regarding the recent anti-spam legislation.  Perhaps eBay HQ considers a Canadian law irrelevant?

"nothing from eBay.ca regarding the recent anti-spam legislation."

There was a comment on the subject by eBay.ca country manager last Wednesday (Board Hour).

At first sight, it appears his understanding of the Act is slightly different from mine.

Sadly, the weekly hour is not really well attended. It is the usual gang, a small gang. I imagine that the Mother Ship has a difficult time rationalizing allocating resources to such a small group.

The questions are always very specific and on topic. The answers? Well, in doubt, mumble.

The Mother Ship dictates to us that if we are going to do it, do it right. Is the weekly board hour done to the same high standard? Not at all.

Multiple abrupt cancellations and "sorry" for poor performance. If the Mother ship was a seller they would be suspended by now. "Do as we say, do not do as we do."

"Sorry" does not justify poor performance.
