Why am I having sooo many issues with sellers since just before christmas of 2012 ??? WTF !!!  Either they don't arrive, items are not as described, after I open the items from their packaging they are broken/damaged not from shipping but from the sellers themselves, or items show up at my door with unexpected customs, ridiculous amounts of brokerage fee's and duties after I have paid for shipping ??? Sellers are even shipping the items using other shipping agents/methods than described in their ads. AGAIN, WTF !!!

I am so disapointed with the EBAY system as of late. And when I do place a negative on the seller,  I find out that EBAY has removed my negative feedback and rating from that sellers feedback rating ????? What is going on ????

Hi ..Sorry to hear that you have had a run of bad luck. Customs charges are solely the buyer's responsibility as importer. ebay will remove any negative feedback that mentions Custom's charges.

Shipping by courier (UPS,FEDEX) results in expensive brokerage compared with by mail. Canada Post fee is $9.95.

Changing the method of shipping without the agreement of the buyer would be a reason for an “Item Not As Described” dispute.

You can refuse the item on your doorstep and it will be returned to the seller. It is however a good idea, especially if the seller is in the USA and indicates that he uses UPS (or other courier) for domestic shipping, to contact him before bidding and confirm that he will be using the postal service. Tell him that you understand that it is less convenient (he has to go to the PO with international parcels, while USPS picks up domestic ones) and more expensive (especially if he wants tracking and insurance to protect himself) but that Canadian taxes and duty kick in at the $20 mark, not $200 as in the USA. Many US sellers are not aware of this.

With overseas sellers, don’t just look at the feedback percentages. Look also at the Detailed Seller Ratings. A FB rating of 98% or higher is usually fine, but if DSRs are dropping below 4.7, the seller is on rocky ground. DSRs of 4.3 get sellers restricted.
