Why auction are hidden to me?

Hi,

I like to buy games lot and re-post them individually.

I do a daily search on "genesis lot" "Canada only" (I do not want to deal with global shipping program so US auction are not good for me) but for whatever reason I never came across this auction:

Fortunately I have a friend who monitor genesis lot  and for whom this auction wasn't hidden so he shared it to me.

Why auction are "hidden" for some buyer and not for others?

I tried many time in many different way but this auction never showed up in my search result ?!?!

Why was I not allowed to bid on this auction as per Ebay?

It certainly does hurt the seller not to have all the buyers aware of his auction.

Now I'm wondering... Are my post hidden from buyers? Thank god I'm only using "buy-it-now", I'm not in a situation of doing an auction where only a portion of the buyer are allowed to bid i.e. to see the post all together.

I'm only trying to understand how can I see every auction that involved the word "lot" and the word "genesis" and that is located in "Canada".

Because doing a search under "Genesis lot" located in "Canada" doesn't do it.

If you get some tricks please share.

Are you doing your searches (or saved searches) on ebay.ca or ebay.com?

Oh yeah, I didn't even notice that! I wonder how long ebay will let that one stand, haha.

Oddly, I think it's OK. I can't find anything in the policy that would indicate a problem. No one can have the word "eBay" in their ID but there seems to be nothing that would object to this one.

I think it would fall under 'violate a trademark or brand'. There is also (or was) a line in the User Agreement that says eBay can take action against anyone or anything that 'violates the spirit of ebay' so if eBay were looking for a reason to ditch a user name that mocked some part of it, I think it would find a way to apply whatever policy it needed to get its job done. Just because the high school Code of Conduct doesn't specifically state that you can't hang a banner on the front fence calling it Land of StinkButt doesn't mean the principal will let the bedsheet banner remain.

I tried to get that auction on search results on both .ca and .com. without success.
Now the only way I can see it is to look for the exact title, the search result then show me "0" result but 1 result under "international buyer". So if I get this straight, his auction doesn't show up under .ca, even though it got posted under Ebay.ca, and only show as international under .com.
It look like there is no way to catch all the auction offered by canadian of Genesis lot.
