Click the last poster's name on the right-hand side of the screen. This will take you to a page with a list that poster's recent posts. Click the link for the GSP post you want to read. You can then scroll back up to read the posts made before that one.
A while back, the mods were instructed by eBay to merge all GSP threads into these two mega-threads. At the time, the GSP people were reading the threads (supposedly!) and the idea was that they would only have those two threads to read and not a whole bunch of small threads.
But the GSP people stopped reading the threads months ago. So not only is the merging no longer necessary, it is now counterproductive. Because, as you say, it is difficult to read the posts unless you know how. The two mega threads have become unmanageable.
The cynic in me wonders if, by keeping only two GSP threads, eBay may be trying to hide some of the dissatisfaction and anger with the program that Canadian buyers continue to express, with no end in sight.
