got the following when I signed on to paypal:
Save money on your next bank withdrawal. Now, when you withdraw $150.00 CAD CAD or more, you won’t have to pay a withdrawal fee! Withdrawals of less than $150.00 CAD will continue to incur a nominal fee of $0.50 CAD.
Why are we doing this? Due to the growth of the PayPal business in Canada, we’ve been able to negotiate lower fees with our vendors and we’re passing those savings on to you
By reducing our fees, we hope to make PayPal even easier to use than before. Thank you for choosing PayPal! We appreciate your business.
Oh joy!

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Right on. I'll save the $8.50 I had to pay last YEAR. 🙂
Now if only they'd reverse their decision to allow the 2.2% merchant rate on something less than $1,000,000 income... 😛

We're being raped with paypal's fees and unreasonable exchange rates. Paypal is telling us to bend over...and that's what we're doing!

2.5% isn't really terrible considering the banks give 1.7-2%...not the best though either.
The 3% on all incoming payments, regardless of whether they are credit card funded or not is bull$hit for the latter situation.
