Yes.
You will be told what the current bid is counting yours.
So if the current bid is $10 and you are the first bidder, the bid will stay at $10.
But if the current bid is $10, with another bidder, and you bid $11, the bid might change to
- $11 to you because you are now the high bidder OR
- $12 to the other bidder whose automatic bid is something higher than $11.
The best strategy is to decide how much the item is worth to you (Don't forget to check the shipping cost!) and bid that.
No one but you can see your maximum bid.
Bid once, bid your maximum.
If someone outbids you, he was a sucker who paid too much, right?
