Can anyone tell me if I can request additional postage costs after a purchase has been made.

You can but the buyer is not obligated to pay it and can request

you cancel the order.

It is not a good practice as it can result in bad feedback and DSRs.

If you are not sure how much shipping will be, weigh and measure your parcel BEFORE LISTING, using metric measurements. Choose Calculated Shipping on the Sell Your Item form.

Enter the measurements and the service you want to use. Add a small handling charge to cover packaging, etc, costs.

The system will now tell your customer how much postage will be to his address.

You are not responsible for the customer's customs or sales tax fees.
