can you sell a document

Several sellers are selling mini a cable listed as "
FireWire IEEE 1394 iLink 4-4 Pin Cable for Camera DV"

These cables are wired wrong and won't work the way they come.

Being a simple 4 pin to 4 pin cable, I decided to "beep" it out with a multimeter, and sure enough, it was wired straight through (pin 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4) which is wrong.

What I would like to know is could I sell a "document" on ebay (for say $1) on how to re-wire these cables so that people that bought them can actually fix the one they have and wind up with a working cable rather than having to go through the entire "INAD" process or even worse, buying cable after cable, and not finding one that works unless they spend A LOT more money one one that's actually made right.

There shouldn't be any problems in selling an instructional document like you propose,as long as the document does not make any accusations against specific sellers. It should be a simple instruction on how to rewire a non working cable.
