Buyer emailed me that they could not find the pay now buttons I I should send my email and phone number so that he could text me once payment was made . This us fraudulent , has anyone else had this issue. 4 days after I responded that's will only communicate via eBay and take payment only via PayPal no response from the buyer. Cancel order? eBay bidder not responding to payment request

Hello 'baseline64',

<< bidder ... registered on eBay the day they placed the bid. ... could not find the pay now buttons. ....  no response from the buyer. Cancel order? >>

You've already waited long enough.  Cancellations are best for those times when a buyer genuinely wishes to cancel the order and speaks kindly and politely to you about it.

Your buyer claims to be unable to "find" the Pay Now button (just about the biggest button on ebay)  and then endeavours to convince you that she will 'let you know' when she has paid.

Any time a buyer pays, you check your paypal account and if the money is there, she paid.  You never need to wait for a buyer to inform you of this.  You have a low feedback score so this one may have thought she could trick you in the hope that you would not know any better.

As 'femmefan' suggests, -- file an Unpaid Item case.  That way you get your fees back, the non-bidder cannot leave feedback, and she gets a strike on her account for non-payment.

If you are unfamiliar with the process works, you can see the ebay policy here:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/unpaid-items.html

Then remember to add her to your blocked bidder list, and make sure you have set up your Buyer Requirements to block any and all non-payers with strikes, as they tend to be repeat offenders:

Don't cancel.

That ends the transaction as a "No Fault".

Instead go to the bottom of this page and in the Resolution Centre, open an Unpaid Item Dispute.

This will either force payment or give him a Strike.

Strikes make it more difficult for deadbeats like your customer to bid on eBay.

When you have opened the Dispute, which you can close after 4 days, sorry about the delay, go to your Seller Preferences and open an automatic Block against bidders with Strikes.

You can also open one against bidders with no active Paypal accounts, but remember that most hones and enthusiastic newbies won't have PP accounts either.

Then go to Site Map->Manage Bidders, and add the deadbeat to your Blocked Bidder List.
