eBay.ca Seller Pack. Any Interest

Hi all. I just received the email re the eBay.ca Seller Pack Promo. I have read the info and re-read it. Does this or does this not include Gallery itself? Or is it for gallery upgrades only? Anyone know for sure? Now, if it does include the gallery picture itself (regular cost of .41 cents) factoring in the perceived value of $10 for the Market Research Basic, this seems to be geared to those that may list 100 plus auctions per month. Is my math working for me here or?

Doesn't seem to be that exciting. The cost is still too high...

Gallery is and upgrade, they are one and the same thing. Your math seems fine - this is geared to appeal to mega-sellers.

Hi -
For $57.00 /.41 = 140 Listings with Gallery. So if you list more than 140 listings with Gallery a month it is a saving. It might be worth it coming into the holiday season for some sellers. If you list 10 items a day you save around 50% on your gallery fees. To bad they did not have it set up before todays 20 cent sale.

Definitely!

I looked at 3 months of invoices and it looks like I'll save at least US$50.00/month. I'm all for saving every little bit I can.

We don't use Gallery option for our auction listing only for our store listings therefore no real advantage for us.

Our items sell without the gallery option feature.

The seller pack is completely awesome for us. We list roughly 2000 auctions per month, so this can possibly be a huge savings.

We only list roughly 10% of our auctions with Gallery listings, but if this seller pack is true, we can now list 100% with Gallery at a savings. I really like that.

The only problem is the delay in reimbursement/credit. It'll take a big leap of faith to list with all gallery and then wait for reimbursement...

Well, maybe I'm tempted to try it; I have 1500 GTC store items relisting each month, so it would mean an extra $35 to cover my auctions (I don't currently use Gallery on auctions).

I sell books - any opinions on whether gallery really increases bids and/or traffic?

I haven't read any concrete proof as to whether using a Gallery Picture increases the chances of a sale or affects the final price however, when i look for an item to buy on eBay, I will always give first (and sometime only) look to those auctions using a Gallery Pic. Unless it a real rare item, with only a few showing on a search, I personally tend to skip over the ones lacking a Gallery pic. Nothing scientific here, just my personal observations.

I tend to agree with snoopwiz. I usually skip over listings with no gallery pic. Maybe I wouldn't so much in books but I seem to do so with everything else. JMHO

Hi,

I have decided to try it as well for a month or two to see if it reduces my EBay fees. However, I am finding that I am still paying for gallery photos. Does anyone know if I will be reimbursed for those at some point? I have been paying for them all along - I thought that this package would cover those fees.

Hi Renee,

If you read the offer carefully you'll see that the gallery fee will be refunded within 4-6 weeks.

Hi Ann,

Thanks very much for pointing that out to me. I am very relieved! In that case I think that the Pack will be most useful to me.

It would be a great pack, except that Marketplace Basic is USELESS unless you ONLY list on the .CA site, as it doesn't search ebay.com.

Don't be fooled by the searches you complete, unless you only want to know what Canadians are searching for and/or buying on eBay.ca ONLY.

art and home are you sure that its useless and does not search on ebay.com I have been using the Marketplace Research Pro and I am pretty sure that even though I am a Canadian, that the search results are a combination from the .com site and the .ca site.

I think the Seller's pack is very useful, much like a snow shovel in July, teats on a bull, Belinda Stronach, Leafs playoff tickets, bottle cap openers, bald tires, televangelists, swamp land in Florida, beach front property in New Orleans, the EI program, Canada Pension, Lingerie for Octegenarians, the speed limit on the 401, a medical degree it you are from abroad, But I digress....X-(

Not everything is for everyone. The Seller Pack is just another example. For some it's useful for others it's not. It doesn't mean it's useless and stupid.
