Hi. I am thinking about opening a store and would like to make a year commitment with it. What is holding me back is the promotional offers that ebay offers to non store members. Last year many by invitation only promotional offers were not extended to the store owners as per the discussions boards comments.
As a non store owner seller I received all but 2 of the promotional offers so far. Did the store owners receive as many of the promotional listings as non store owners? This will be what makes my decision - the more members reply the better for others like myself that are sitting on the fence. Thank you in advance.:-)

No way to tell how eBay will handle extra free promos now that non-stores and stores have free listings.I doubt that eBay will give out many free promos for the next couple of months at least since they want non-store sellers to go and get a store.
Go store on a monthly basis and have the ability to cancel out anytime. This way you know how many you can list monthly and plan accordingly.

Keep in mind too that if you do sign up for a yearly rate and then decide to cancel before that year is up, there is a penalty surcharge.
