Don't worry I am not going to ask which wholesaler ones use. But I am thinking of selling tools and outdoor equipment. Problem is I haven't found any wholesalers that appear credible or priced right to for re-sale. any sugguestions on how to find actual legit ones?

Have you looked in your local phone book? If you live in a rural area, you may need to check the phone book from the nearest cities- these are usually available at the Public Library.
The advantage of the Yellow Pages is that they are not real up to date. Which means the companies have been in business for months, if not years. Online companies may have been in "business" for minutes.
I presume you are familiar with the field you want to enter. Have you spoken with the sales reps for these companies? Take him out for coffee, he may have some small lots available, and the fact that you know each other may help with financing.
In addition to wholesalers, look for liquidators, auction houses (bankrupt stock), jobbers, importers, manufacturers, etc.

Are you confusing wholesaler with dropshipper? Wholesalers are where the retailers buy from in order to resale to the public. Dropshippers advertise on late night infomercials promising you will make tons of money with little effort. Their prices are higher than the wholesalers.
Wholesalers do not use gimmicks or false promises of instant wealth but dropshippers do.

to be honest tools is a very competitive inqustry and thats why the margins will be very low especially if you plan to sell online. You can still do your research and may be able to find some tool wholesale companies online. I know that there are some wholesales listed here that offer tools and outdoor stuff:
