At one time bidders' identities were openly available to all other bidders. This led to some shenanigans, for example, DH had a 'stalker' who would bid on anything he did, seemingly using DH as a quality control agent, since he is a recognized expert in that particular field.
That ended a few years ago, and now all buyers' identities are masked. Only you and your seller can see your name/eBay ID.
However, should you win one of these private listings, your name will remain masked in the seller's feedback and the View Item is not available.
So you can increase your collection of blowup dolls in complete privacy.
