should I polish silver or just leave as is?

I always polish my silverplate before listing it. It looks prettier and assures yours customer there are no flaws. Several times I have uncovered flaws (pits, discolouration, etc.) and I think it just saves the hassle of having an unhappy buyer. Although I have purchased unpolished silver in the past, hoping to uncover a gem!
