Just wondering if tracked packet is available to everyone now. I have yet to see the option show on any item I have shipped. I have not really wanted it until this latest parcel, Can anyone say for sure if the dimensions requirments are the same as the small packet maximums?

If you mean a tracking number, you can only get one from the Post Office. Ebays' version of a tracking number has nothing to do with postal delivery.

Tracking is hot and cold...

Hot --- sometimes visible on the Canada Post website

Cold --- visible on USS website

Effective April 9th, 2013, two new tracked packet will become available on PayPal's label printing platform. - USA and International tracket packet,... although expensive!

Tracking is available for Tracked Packet on Canada Post's website.

Problems with tracking on Canada Post's site have been cleared up.

Currently available at all postal outlets.

April 9, available on Paypal

I have used Tracked Packet and have experienced no problems with delivery to the US.

I can't seem to get Tracked Packet to show up when printing paypal labels.

Did you get the discount? I can't recall when it was indicated that Tracked Packet would be discounted through Paypal labels for eBay sellers, but it was soon. I'll be trying it just as soon as the price is discounted.

I just printed out a Tracked Packet shipping label.

I was charged a higher base rate.

Shipping to Germany.

250grams

CanadaPost counter rate: 42.23

But paypal charged me 44.89 and gave me a 4.30 discount = 40.59

so the discount rate was 9.57%

The base rate, 44.89, is for parcels 250grams~500grams.

I double checked the weight several times and even tested it with 100grams. The rate they charge me was always for 250~500grams.

Yes. If there was not a discount the price would have been $15.30 plus fuel charge.

CanadaPost counter rate: 42.23

The counter price is 43.23 plus fuel surcharge.

When I checked this on the CP online calculator the total with fuel surcharge was $44.87

That fuel surcharge really adds on to the cost.

Ninth89,

Don't forget that a fuel surcharge is tacked on to the Tracked Packet base rate. If your package weight did not exceed 250 g, you should have been charged $42.23 + 2.64 (FS) = $44.87 before the PayPal discount.

That item must be very valuable. Why else would anyone pay more than four times the Small Packet Air rate?

PJ's last post contains a typo: the base rate is $42.23 not $43.23. For Tracked Packets, the Canada Post counter price is the same as the Small Business price.

When did those highway robbers at CP raise the rates? BTW the USA prices have remained the same.
