I got a tracking number for 2 items I bought from china, the supplier gave me 2 tracking numbers and said I had t wait like 3 days to trace it.   But later the supplier asked me something that made me realize they did not ship out the items yet.   How or why would I receive the tracking numbers if the items were not shipped?

Why do you think the items weren't sent yet? The seller gave you two tracking numbers for two parcels. He said wait 3 days to track it because sometimes shipping companies don't update tracking information right away.
