Complaints about Intelcom

The Globe and Mail in an article about the mail strike mentioned in passing that Intelcom not only gigs out delivery, but also subcontracts their local management .

Which may explain a lot.

I got a book delivered by them today and they have changed their name, for some unexplained reason, to Dragonfly.

The label still said Intelcom but I got an email explaining the change and the final mile tracking was from Dragonfly.

For reference this is in Victoria, Vancouver Island.

Yeah, I found out about the name change a couple of months ago because I was checking on Intelcom online for some reason. The shipping company is still called Intelcom in its native Québec, but it’s going by Dragonfly everywhere else it operates which now includes the USA and, I believe, Australia.

I’m guessing the name change reflects an injection of investor/ownership monies from new sources.
