I ordered an item from Switzerland(I'm in Canada) on Monday from a 1 feedback seller. He even provided me with a shipping receipt but no tracking info. He shipped the item yesterday. So far, everything is all well and good with no issues aside from the fact that there is no expected delivery date under the transaction where it usually is. I guess my question is if this whole ordeal goes sour and the item never shows, how do I know when to open a case? I know I have 30 days past the expected delivery to open a case with eBay but if I don't have an expected delivery date, how do I know when that time-frame becomes active or not?

If there is no estimated delivery date given for an international purchase, you can open an inr case 30 days after the purchase and for 30 days after that.

Tracking is a Seller Protection against unwarranted claims that the item was not delivered.
Your Buyer Protection is eBay's Money Back Guarantee, Paypal's Buyer Protection program , and the chargeback provisions of the credit card you backed your PP account with.

Like a picture of his shipping receipt?
If there is no tracking number on it, he shipped without tracking.
This is not a problem.
