I bought 3 watch bands in a size small. Only 1 of them was small, the other 2 are large. So, I filed a "Item not as described" dispute and wanted to return. The seller agreed. However, he refuses to pay for the return shipping. According to the return rules, he's supposed to cover it.
I've escalated with ebay 5 days ago, and they put my case on hold. How long until they make a decision on the case?

EBay does allow a few days for the other party to react.
Sellers with Unpaid Item Disputes are often dismayed to learn they will not be able to close their Dispute for 96 hours in case the deadbeat has a change of heart and coughs up payment.
I am not sure how long the Hold lasts when it goes the other way, but five days is long enough for the seller to make and send a shipping label* or to pay the refund.
You've waited long enough. I'd call Customer Service Friday during business hours and ask for the refund to be processed ** since the seller is recalcitrant.
*including labels from the USA for use with Canada Post, which baffles some US members.
**EBay will (reluctantly) refund buyers, and go after the seller for their money. The seller also gets a Defect for being difficult.

Three watch bands? Is the seller overseas? Just asking.

Normally there is a delay of 3 days, during the pandemic that has been extended to 5 days. I believe (but could be wrong) that those are business days (weekdays only, no weekends, no holidays).
