PayPal one click checkout

I just went to do checkout on a purchase. Clicked on the PayPal option (rather than credit card) and clicked on the confirm button, expecting to be prompted for the opportunity to review and cancel.

Instead of receiving that opportunity it simply processed the payment in an Amazon-style one-click checkout.

How does one turn that off? I unlinked my PayPal account because I don't want that happening in the future. I should probably remove my CC until I can be sure that won't happen with a CC either (I refuse to do one-click checkout with businesses that don't have a cancel purchase option and eBay doesn't have such an option).

Hand held device or desktop computer?

Buying direct from the listing or through the eBay cart?

Try looking at:

My eBay > Account > Personal Information > Financial Information > Checkout saved payment methods.

It was from desktop computer. I believe it was from the cart.

The one-click checkout doesn’t happen by accident, you would have inadvertently allowed it with a previous transaction. And as you’ve discovered, once done.....
