Have you paid for the item.

Some sellers have more than one of the same item and just relist

after one is sold.

The following is in the relisted item.

Relisted because the winner hadn't won anything in 7 years so they were probably not going to pay. Wow the fools who evidently have so much time to waste and no lives

Wow, pretty strong assumption on the sellers part.

This might not turn out well for them.

Re: can the seller relist after you won the item?

If you do not plan to use Paypal to pay, you should ask the seller BEFORE bidding. Many sellers ( incorrectly ) think they are not allowed to accept any payment except PP.

Many will not accept personal cheques under any circumstances.

Many are wary of money orders, even International Postal Money Orders, which they can cash immediately at their post office.

You are correct that cash, cheque and money order payments are not covered by eBay or Paypal's Buyer Protection, since the buyer cannot prove payment.

US sellers can start an Unpaid Item Dispute after 48 hours. Other sellers must wait all of 96 hours.

The seller can do  relist the item.

But  only an unethical, dishonest seller would relist the item for a non-reason such as this.
