when i was shopping on here and bidding i noticed that
standard shipping is 7 - 11
and it says ups is 7 -13 and cost more why is this? is the 7 - 13 hours or days?
"Standard shipping" is just bafflegab. It means the seller will choose some service or other, but wants to have the freedom to choose which one. The price he quotes is firm however.
UPS is a specific courier and the seller is promising that he will use that. UPS gives the 7-13 (days) as the delivery period.
You should be aware that if this is a US seller, UPS will be demanding more money on your doorstep for duty, tax and customs brokerage. Normally this will be in excess of $25. UPS did not tell your seller about this.
Further, if you live anywhere remote, the UPS delivery may actually be sub-contracted to Canada Post.
If your seller is in Canada, UPS is a good reliable service. They still sub-contract in rural and remote areas, though.
Any delivery time given in a listing is often optimistic.
Allow 20 days for delivery from North America.
Allow 15-20 days for delivery from Europe.
Allow 30 days for delivery from Asia.
