Loving our enemies does not mean that we have strong emotions of “love” for them. It doesn't mean that we have to agree with them. It doesn't mean that we capitulate to whatever they want from us.
For Christians, it means not giving into their revenge-motivated tactics as well...

That being said, me saying I thank my higher power mom is not my mother makes no sense, but the harasment she was leveling in her biblical quotes aimed at some members of this forum made really no sense either.

Well technically they couldn't prove OJ was guilty ....but we all know he is. Proof and logic are two different things. Politicians and religious people do it all the time, making quotes for instance, knowing it is an attack on others but because it came from some ancient unproven book they feel they can get away with it by classifying it as faith and religion thus giving them the so-called right to say it. Then if the quotes are confronted they pull out the ‘you are attacking my religion’ card, as OJ pulled out his own card to avoid the truth and confuse the jury. In the end though some biblical quotes are bigotry, prejudice and hate wrapped in a halo. So can things be ‘proven’ as in proof acceptable in a court of law? Sometimes no …..but nonetheless logic and common sense points to the truth.

Very true but as the new generation opens it's eyes they are learning the fallacies within the pages. Each will make their choices after opening their minds to all views.

Open forum, different people, different views ……the invisible tom who suddenly came out of no where (ahem) wasn’t thinking. As long as those who frequent this thread feel they can go to other threads to express their opinions (and justifiably so)…..then the door on this thread is open as well.
