Just teasing--I know MLM laughed by her big smile. Guess I just felt that I had to referred to something funny and the laugh was only on me, that I should share it. Too tell you the truth I am ummmm aged enough that it makes me laugh too. My daughter just roared when I showed up at her door with her shoe. I actually thought it was worse, one of the helpers (interventionists they call it these days) for grandson's autism had arrived for his appointment with GS, and interventionist being a petit fellow, I thought I was wearing his shoe! I was quite relieved to find out it was DDs. I am still laughing--but I think I have lost any dignity points I had in the neighbourhood. LOL

Oh, can I ever relate! Advancing age hasn't been kind to my memory either and as time goes on, the "bloopers" I pull get funnier & funnier. Maybe we should be writing all of these stories down while we still remember them and then we could write a book that might turn out to be the next national bestseller!

We would have to remember where we wrote it down and what we named the file--but we could start writing the and see what happens. The last of us with a memory writes the book.LOL

:^O I think I'd put hubby in charge of knowing where the stories are kept -- he's 8-1/2 years younger and although he sometimes can't find his own socks, he does pretty well at finding my stuff for me. LOL

Semantics, D, but I don't bring up religion in all my get-togethers - it's my life - I don't consider God a religion - it's us humans who made a religion out of it so we can blame Him for it. I guess I should've just stuck to the short answers. . .

Well, I'm bound and determined to make this thread a blessing. Just want to share my morning devotional with.

How many times have we patted ourselves on the back for how good we have been? Like the rich young ruler, we measure our works against the Ten Commandments, and wow! Don't we look good! Stealing? None! Murder? None? Bearing false witness? None! Neglect of the Sabbath? None! As the list goes on, so does our pride in our own self-righteousness. However, a closer look reveals that our "righteousness is like dirty rags," as described in Isaiah 64:6. Our honorable deeds are still tainted with sin. No matter how much good we do, we wil never be deserving of the gift of salvation, for that is what it is--a gift.

God has indeed given me much more than I deserve. Every oppotunity, every blessing - even every challenge - is a greater blessing than all my work could ever earn. So yes, I have a life stained with sin, but today I can claim God's wonderful forgiveness and be happy as I accept the marvelous gift of His Salvation. - P. E. Gordon

Because I am not a christian, I have never come into this thread, out of respect for those who do believe. I honestly don't believe I have any right to be here, its not an exchange religious ideas thread - its a Christian Thread, pure and simple.
Nellie, I deeply respect your beliefs. I admire your faith. I think its sad the way people treat each other, very sad, in the name of religion, any religion.
It would be so nice if everyone would "share", rather than push.
Out of respect to all those who want to participate in this thread with their original intention, I won't return to it and I won't be a distraction.
I encourage anyone who wants to debate religious beliefs, start another thread with the title "RELIGIOUS DEBATE", you will find plenty of like minded people.

OK, fine, but this thread hopefully is supposed to be for prayers & praise and I did invite you to join us in past post.

I realize some of MLM's posts haven't exactly been endearing but I can also feel when a heart is wounded. I don't claim to KNOW everybody here on this board, but I can read. And the tag team going on here just is not helping. I was just really trying to get past the negativity - let it be water under the bridge. Other people outside of this thread are already getting hurt.

Indeed you have....and I have....and it seems ridiculous that a grown woman can act like a childish brat with her name calling and tantrums and suddenly it is someone elses fault??? Always someones else fault....isn't it. I have never tag teamed anyone....and the water never left from under the bridge...

I've never posted anything negative towards MLM or anyone (maybe posted a questionable joke about 666) IN FUN!!! If you check the other threads I posted jokes there too....

I guess its true...the child that does act up the most gets heard the most......maybe use your tone on her..

She only wounded the heart when she threw the first stone several weeks ago and was not big enough to apologize but instead when asked about the words said.... I didn't write the Bible, but I can post, and have posted, quotes from Scripture. Your point? Sounds to me like …..’I didn’t write it and I can say it if I want’. Maybe it’s just me.... but quoting scripture advocating the eradication of other people just because they believe something else is ….pathetic.
